ALL BUILDINGS START WITH A GOOD FOUNDATION

The Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce is a not for profit business that has a proud and varied history within the local community. Originally formed in 1970 as the Rockingham Kwinana Businessman’s Association, with inaugural chairman – respected businessman Norm Snow, Proprietor of Rays Hardware in Railway Terrace.

In the 70s, the Rockingham and Kwinana business community was quite small and very much dependent on the summer trade.  Winter was very quiet and somewhat of a challenge to local operators. As an aid to encourage local trading, the Rockingham Chamber of Commerce hosted a variety of fun and popular fundraisers, including socials, cabarets, and formal events at venues like Flinders Hall and the Rockingham City Community Hall. So much has change, yet the drive and goals remain the same.

Today, RKCC aim to be go-to organisation for business owners in the South-West Metro corridor, representing a diverse group of members with businesses of all sizes.

The Chamber is a not for profit business group.  It has been built on the hard work and dedication of local business owners, and in recognition of their outstanding commitment, we’ve inducted several as Life Members, including:

The Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce is a not for profit group that continues the tradition of recognising, promoting and encouraging the community to “Buy Local”. Community groups, schools, charities and sporting clubs receive assistance and donations from the RKCC due to the continued volunteered assistance from Members, Life Members and the Executive Team over the past 53 years.
